Let’s work together to ensure the best results for our conservation efforts.

Dear MBBA team,

I am Rodrigo Oliveira, a USC PhD student, contacting you in regard to our USC research project, because of your or your group’s relevant expertise and interest in the topic.

Supported by the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation, our project aims to identify conservation priorities and measures to monitor the success of conservation and community efforts across the Biosphere. For this reason, we are consulting the community to understand what is most valued about the Biosphere. So, we’re asking the Noosa Biosphere stakeholder groups and individuals to participate in our community consultation process.

Because of the relevance of the Marcus Beach Bushcare Association to Water and Forests in the Noosa Biosphere, we think your group’s participation will provide significant insight that would be valuable to us.

We’re planning eight (8) group discussions of approximately 90 minutes each. These are groups of about 6-15 people focused on providing their opinions on key themes related to the conservation of the Noosa Biosphere and its implications for nature and human wellbeing.

One or more designated member(s) of your group can attend any session you believe your group can provide valuable contributions. Do you think this is something your group might be willing to consider participating in? Alternative dates are being considered with the facilitators and we will get back to you asap. We can anticipate that the sessions will run from late February and extend throughout March.

Please, find attached a brief project overview with more info on the facilitated group discussions, and let us know.

Best regards,

Rodrigo Oliveira
