Our local coastal environment is something special—and it stays that way because of people like you.
A huge thank you to everyone who already volunteers with, donates to, or supports Marcus Beach Bushcare. Your time, energy and care are making a real difference. But to truly protect our foreshore, we need the whole community behind us.
Our Bushcare program works along the dunes and foreshore from Beach Access 43-49, focusing on removing invasive weeds and giving our native environment the space it needs to thrive. By tackling weeds such as Singapore Daisy, Asparagus Fern, Gloriosa Lily, Mile-a-Minute and Gidgy Gidgy Vine, we’re helping native plants recover, strengthening dune systems, and building long-term resilience along our coastline.
This work is vital. Healthy dunes protect our beach, support wildlife, and safeguard the ecosystem we all enjoy—now and into the future.
How you can be involved
There’s a place for everyone:

- Lend a hand as a one-off helper
- Get involved in specific projects or working bees
