Peregian Creek Bush Restorers

This Saturday, the 19th, we shall be tackling the Asparagus Fern at BA48. As it is getting colder and the sun is coming up later we shall start at 8:am.

As discussed at our last session, we shall be down on the foredune cutting branches with berries from Asparagus Fern, except where native shrubs exist within a metre of the weed. Then the AF should be totally removed. There’s a lot of Twining Guinea Flower entwined with AF that needs to be released and may some Midyim. Plus, we can also clear some spaces for future planting of trees like Casuarina and Banksia in the more open areas.

Look forward to seeing you.
