Peregian Creek Weeding

Well, the creek is definitely flowing again and there is even some flowering on the Asparagus Fern.  Hopefully, it will be dry enough for us to tackle more of the Asparagus Fern this Saturday, the 21st, at Beach Access 49 around 8 am.

Inspecting the site with Kylie and the new Council Director for Environment and Sustainable Development last week we agreed we have done a remarkable job in clearing the Asparagus Fern along the targeted area this year.  We are in sight of achieving our objective.  In addition I feel we have done a wonderful job in transforming the whole site overall to more of its natural state compared to the weed infested bush it was four years ago.  However, there is still much to do and many weeds to remove, including some regrowth in last year’s area of Asparagus Fern.
