Hi All,
You may be interested in these links re eco-tourism cabins along the Cooloola Great Walk sent to me by one of our members.
Please see the links below and please share with bush carers and others, fighting this issue could save many acres of our local natural environment. There is a great petition to sign on this page;https://keep-cooloola-cool.org
Queensland plan to build cabins in beachside national park angers communities
Keep and eye out for:
Forthcoming research paper by Bob Pressey,
ARC Centre of Excellance for Coral Reek Studies, JCU
The paper sets out to answer the question of why native species were becoming extinct even when protected areas were increasing.
By doing surveys and species counts, the MBBA is playing a part in monitoring the biodiversity here. Noosa Council has also engaged Noosa Landcare to map rare plant species.
Kind Regards,
Jude
