Keep and eye out for:

Forthcoming research paper by Bob Pressey,
ARC Centre of Excellance for Coral Reek Studies, JCU

The paper sets out to answer the question of why native species were becoming extinct even when protected areas were increasing.

The most underfunded activity across Queensland parks is monitoring biodiversity, so people actually have no idea what’s going on.

Bob Pressey, The Australian, 21 March, 2022

By doing surveys and species counts, the MBBA is playing a part in monitoring the biodiversity here. Noosa Council has also engaged Noosa Landcare to map rare plant species.

Kind Regards,

Jude
