Beach access 66, Victory Park, Peregian Beach, Queensland, Australia
Come along to a hands-on training program by Dr Javier Leon on Saturday morning. This next-generation citizen science coastal monitoring program uses citizen scientists and artificial intelligence to make precise 3D models of the beach to better understand and plan for erosion and changes to the beach, dune vegetation and turtle nesting.
The MBBA is currently looking at ways we might use this technology to assist us in our Dune Restoration work. We welcome any ideas, input or volunteers who would like to explore this with us.
