Hi All,
I know many of you are away or unable to weed, but Col and I will be at the corner of Mahogany Drive and Redwood Ave, ready for action at 7.00am on Thursday, to beat the heat.
I photographed this Rhinoceros Beetle on the footpath across the road from my place, when walking Jimmy, doing the Mahogany Drive – Redwood Avenue doggie beat. It reminded me that our weeding at the Marcus Section NNP all started because Mark, doing the same daily walk with Zena, kept seeing the Umbrella Trees proliferating in the Park along Mahogany Drive, and wanted to do something about it.
Imagine how many of those trees would be dominating the canopy now if we hadn’t got them while they were young. What we don’t see is sometimes just as important as what we do see.
