Plants still available

Hi Bushcarers,

I have received orders for tubestock from MBBA members, but there’s still time order your five free plants.

If you are not a member or have not renewed your membership, now is a great time to do so. The $10.00 membership fee will cover the next financial year (2020-2021).

The value of the five free plants offered to members is $12.50 which offsets your membership fee. Gift your plants to a neighbour or family member (children love plants like Pig Face and Dianellas that grow easily), if you have no place for them in your own garden.

Membership fees have enabled us to replace a boardwalk sign, have signs made up for our working bees, buy equipment needed for the asparagus fern trial, and help fund other Bushcare activities.

Reply to this email to order plants. You can find our membership form on the MBBA website.

We thank Coolum Coastcare for donating these plants to MBBA.

Best wishes

Judy

  1. Hi. I am trying to find a plant nursery to purchase some plants of parsonsia straminae. I live in the bundaberg area. Am I able to purchase from you and have them posted to me

    • Hi Gail,

Thank you for your enquiry. Our group does not grow plants and as far as I am aware, none of the local native nurseries here does mail orders. If you don’t have a native nursery nearby where you can source it, I suggest you contact your local Landcare group who may be able to help.

Otherwise, it could be a trip to the Sunshine Coast but if you do decide the source it from a nursery here, make sure you ring first to see if it is in stock. The nearest nursery to you on the Sunshine Coast is the Noosa and District Landcare Nursery at Pomona. the vine is currently not listed as available on their stocklist hinterhub@noosalandcare.org phone 5485 2468.

Coolum Community Native Nursery has 20 listed on their September Stocklist. Still check by phone. It’s late in the month. They are always happy to put stock aside for collection. coolumnatives.com
