Peregian Creek Weeding This Saturday

I made the executive decision that we should once again meet down along BA49 this Saturday, the 7th, at 0730. There is more Asparagus Fern that needs seeing to north of the boardwalk and the Singapore Daisy down near the creek mouth still requires work to remove more.

I did consider moving back to BA48 and working on the freeing up the natives on the foredune from Asparagus Fern. But Landcare did a good job continuing south from where we had finished and planted last year and I did a bit a week ago. The area we worked on last year has been completely transformed. Not much AF in evidence, the planted seedlings are generally doing very well, except for the Casuarinas and there is a lot of blady grass that has come in plus more native natural regen. It would be great to expand that area, but maybe next month.

Cheers,

Paul
