Peregian Creek Weeding

Welcome to 2020, the year for which all those, mostly now forgotten targets were set to be achieved. I hope for all of you that it will be a very good year.

Meanwhile down along the creek, the weeds have continued their infestation, particularly Singapore Daisy in the creek. Ryan and Renata spread a massive black plastic cover over a lot of it in early December in order to solarize it and we shall see the results maybe in another month’s time. Yes, it is still there despite the creek flowing with the recent rains. However, there is a lot of Singapore Daisy around the edge of the plastic and beyond, both in the creek on and on the bank. So, I thought we could start the year by tackling that before it gets more out of hand as well as the Para Grass that is adjacent to the boardwalk.

For those who would like to come along we shall meet at 7am this Saturday, the 1st February, along the BA49 boardwalk.
